Thomas Alva Edison is scientist
A young boy of six of
seven became the subject of talk in a village. He was very inquisitive about
things around him. People soon got tired when they talked to him, because he
always asked, “why, why, why”. Sometimes it was difficult to satisfy him with
answers and to satisfy his own inquisitiveness, the boy often undertook some
risky adventure. For example, once the boy set his fathers born on fire only to
see how it could burn and then what would happen to the barn afterwards.
His father often got angry. But at the same time
he was proud of the young boy. His relations often avoided him. Most villagers
knew him for his deed. But there was only one person who did never feel annoyed
with the boy. And that person was his loving mother. Do you know who this boy
was? He was Thomas Alva Edison. Alva was born in a village of Milan in the
United states of America on the 11th
of February, 1847 Young Alva Always wanted to do some kind of experiments with
anything around him, particularly with the chemicals.
On the other hand, he
borrowed his father’s horse and cart and took Michael their servant but Alva’s
most intimate friend, with him. Together they loaded the cart with fruit and
vegetables. Alva helped to grow the fruit and vegetables in the grounds around
their new house. Then they sold these from door to door. And in a few days they
made some money. Then Alva managed to get some books on chemistry. He also
bought chemicals. Thus at the age of ten he had his own laboratory and he had
Michael as his assistant.
