13. Write a report on cultural program.

Cultural Program

A week long cultural program of Barisal Government College was observed in the college campus with a great festivity.

The cultural week was inaugurated by the local MP. The first day included the recitation of Bangla and English poetry. The name of the Bangla poetry was “Kabor’’ written by a famous poet Jasim Uddin. The name of the English poetry was “To Daffodils” written by Robert Herrick. The students recited both the poetry nicely. The second day included the patriotic song. We have a rich collection of patriotic songs. The singers gave a nice presentation.

The third day included the songs of Tagore and Nazrul Islam. All the participants charmed the audience. The fourth day included the events of pantomime and story telling. Some of the participants showed their skill. The fifth day was for extempore speech and dance.

The sixth day was the concluding session. This session was presided over by the principal. The DC of Barisal was present as the chief guest. In his speech he encouraged such programs. He distributed awards among the winners.

At the end the principal thanked all ended the week long program.
